Maria Julia Lopez, 54, died Jan. 2, at Great Bend Regional Hospital. Born June 25, 1960, in Havana, Cuba, she was the daughter of Israel and Alba E. (Lopez) Lopez. She married Enrique Alvarez. A resident of Great Bend since 2009, coming from Miami, Fla., she was a caregiver for Rosewood Services.
Survivors include her husband, Enrique Alvarez, of the home; one son, Victor Lopez of Miami, Fla.; one daughter, Caridad Lopez of Great Bend; one brother, Luis Garcia; and seven grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, at the First Assembly of God in Great Bend with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
