GREAT BEND — Marian Lorene Brough, 88, died June 11, 2014 at Medical Lodges of Kansas in Kinsley.
Born Aug. 11, 1925, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Walter H. and Agnes Lorene (Hurt) Pedigo. In 1943, she married Albert Brough in Great Bend. He died on March 17, 1957. She then married Robert Brough in 1957 in Great Bend. He died on Aug. 15, 1970. A lifetime resident of Great Bend, she was a nurse aide at Central Kansas Medical Center for 14 years, retiring in 1984.
Mrs. Brough was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Great Bend. She was a Meals on Wheels volunteer and an outpatient escort at Central Kansas Medical Center.
Survivors include three sons, Jimmy Ray Brough, Great Bend; Gary Wayne Brough and his wife Shirley, Junction City; and Danny Brough and his wife Susan, Great Bend; two brothers, Wilbur Pedigo, Plano, Texas; and Duane Pedigo, Great Bend; eight grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Alvin Pedigo and Howard Pedigo; and three sisters, Verna Batchman, Vera Brown, and Clois Pedigo.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Bryant Funeral Home with the Rev. Dr. Doyle Smith officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Visitation is scheduled from 3 to 9 p.m. Thursday and 9 a.m. to noon Friday at Bryant Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
