MCPHERSON — Ella Marie Born, 88, died Wednesday, Aug. 17, 2016, at McPherson.
Marie was born Dec. 18, 1927, at Belvidere, Kansas, the daughter of Oliver and Florence Tetrick.
She was a graduate of Cunningham High School in 1944. She married John Leslie Fitzsimmons Feb. 22, 1947, at Pratt. She later married Dee Long of Kingman. He passed away in May, 1983. In February of 1988, she married Leo Saunders Graves at Kingman. Leo passed away in May of 1993.
On April 20, 1996, Marie married Wilbert Dean Born at McPherson.
Survivors include, her husband, Wilbert of the home; two daughters, Suzan Fitzsimmons Anderson and husband, Chris, Lindsborg; and Cynthia Ball and husband, Mike, Andover; daughter-in-law, Katie Fitzsimmons, Pawnee Rock; stepsons, Vernon Long and wife, Jodie, Decatur, Ala.; Dwight Graves, Warner, N.H.; Randy Graves, Napa, Calif.; stepdaughters, Jeaneen Craft and Kathy Graves, Napa, Calif.; stepsons, Jeffery Born, McPherson, Michael Born and wife, Wendi, Olathe; stepdaughter, Janet Johnson and husband, Jerry, Fort Worth, Texas; brother, James Tetrick, Kingman; 14 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her sons, James Lee Fitzsimmons, who died at age 33 of cancer; and John Leslie Fitzsimmons, Jr. who died at age 58 of cancer.
The memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Grace Bible Church, 1215 N. Grimes, McPherson, KS, 67460 with Pastor Rich Duerksen officiating. A private inurnment will be held at North Inman Cemetery.
