HOISINGTON – Marilyn J. (Korf) Davis, 65, died  June 4, 2013 at the University of Kansas Medical Center, Kansas City, Kan.
She was born May 30, 1948 at Great Bend, the daughter of Charles and Bertha (Alexander) Korf.
She married Everett Davis January 23, 1967 at Hoisington. Ms. Davis was a lifetime Hoisington resident graduating from Hoisington High School and Barton County Community College. She was a longtime employee of State Farm Insurance of Great Bend and most recently worked at the Women’s Recovery Center in Hoisington. She was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Hoisington.  She enjoyed playing dominoes, weekend trips, animals, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her ex-husband: Everett Davis, Hoisington; three sons, Bob Davis and his wife Gina, Garden Plain; Mike Davis and his wife Melissa, Hoisington; and Kevin Davis, Oklahoma City, Okla.; a daughter, Kathy Davis, Iola, Wis.; a brother, Bob Korf, Nickerson; a sister, Anita Shives, Evanston, Wyo.; six grandchildren, Danny Davis, Alex Davis, Daegan Davis, Liam Sidman, Kayla Sidman and Danielle Davis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Gary Korf.
A Mass of Christian Burial is scheduled at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Hoisington with Father Francis Oroffa officiating. Interment will be at St. John Cemetery, Hoisington.
Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends from 6 to 8 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, 415 N. Main, Hoisington.
Memorial Funds are suggested to the American Cancer Society, in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home.
