Marilyn L. (Moore) Loss, 79, passed away peacefully at home, May 17, 2021, after a four year vigorous battle with cancer. She was born February 14, 1942, in Milford, Utah, to James E. and Mary L. (Fegette) Moore, the oldest of three daughters.
Marilyn was united in marriage to Robert “Bob” Loss on Jan. 22, 1966, in Salt Lake City, Utah. Together they were married for 55 years, raised two sons and enjoyed the partnership they created.
Marilyn graduated with a Bachelor’s degree and continued her education to receive a Medical Technologist degree. Working in that occupation for 40 years plus motherhood, she retired in 2006. She was a member of First United Methodist Church in Great Bend, Kan., active in UMWS and the Prayer Shawl Ministry.
Survivors include, her husband Bob Loss of the home; two sons, Robert Loss (Jamme) of Pittsburg and Jason Loss of Great Bend; a sister, Joyce Baptist of Lomita, Calif.; triplet granddaughters, Ashlyn, Calistia and Norah of Lenexa; and a niece, Jessica Baptist of San Pedro, Calif. She was preceded in death by her parents; and a sister, Linda.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Friday, May 21, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend Morita Truman presiding. In lieu of flowers as Marilyn requested no flowers, memorials have been designated to First United Methodist Church, Barton County Relay for Life or Kindred Hospice, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
