Marion L. “Pops” Dutton, 81, died April 30, 2016, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born Feb. 24, 1935, in Hagerman, Texas, he was the son of Otto E. and Marge (Crawford) Dutton. A resident of Great Bend since 1952, coming from Sadler, Texas, he was a driller for Geo Search. He enjoyed cars.
Survivors include five sons, Randy LaVerne Dutton of Arvada, Colo., Gary Lee Dutton and wife Sara of Salina; Kirby Gene Dutton and wife Janine of El Dorado; Steven Kenneth Dutton and wife Teresa of Great Bend, and Douglas Alan Dutton of Great Bend; 10 grandchildren; and 17 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Donald Dutton; and by one sister Jerry.
Memorial services will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Friday at First Assembly of God Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Dwight Dozier officiating. There will be no visitation, as cremation has taken place. Memorials are suggested to Central Kansas Dream Center in care of the funeral home.
