ELLINWOOD — Marjorie M. “Margie” Long, 92, died Jan. 22 at Hospice House in Hutchinson. Born Feb. 11, 1920 in Barton County, she was the daughter of August and Pruella Hager Christiansen. She was a 1938 graduate of Ellinwood High School. On Sept. 21, 1937, she married Frederick Long in Hutchinson. He died on Aug. 20, 1999. A resident of Ellinwood all of her life, she was a homemaker.  
She attended Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood.  
Survivors include a son, Dennis Long and wife Laurie, Hutchinson; six grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; a daughter, Lana Walton; four brothers, A. August, Ralph, Jim, and George Christiansen; and four sisters, Hilda Bryant, Cleda Peter, Katherine Roberson, and Delma Ihle.
Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday at the Immanuel United Church of Christ in Ellinwood. There will be no visitation as cremation is planned.
