SALINA — Mark Alan Smith, 56, died May 23 at Salina Regional Medical Center, Salina.  Born Sept. 7, 1957 at Great Bend, he was the son of Robert and Margaret  (Murphy) Smith.
A project facilitator for R.A.M. Partners, Mark had been a Salina, Kansas resident since 2009, living previously in Atlanta, Ga., Birmingham, Ala., and Silver Springs, Md.  Mark enjoyed camping, hiking, cooking, reading, and studying history.
Survivors include four sisters: Jan Morgenstern and husband Robert of Hoisington, Sharon Schremmer and husband Ron of Wichita, Linda Whitt of Hutchinson, Mary Dumler and husband Randy of Hoisington; two brothers: Dennis Smith of Bell, Fla. and Terry Smith of Salina; and many beloved nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in passing by his parents.
Funeral Service will be held Wednesday, May 28 at 3 p.m. at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home with Father Anselm Eke officiating.  Interment will be at St. John Catholic Cemetery, Hoisington.
Visitation will be from noon to 8 p.m., Tuesday, May 27 at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, with the family receiving friends from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m.
