KAHULUI, Hawaii — Mark Edward (Lane) Shaw, 62, of Kahului, Hawaii, passed away Aug. 31, 2016, at his home with loved ones by his side. He was born in Larned on Feb. 26, 1954. Mark attended high school in Great Bend, and graduated from Buhler High School in 1972. He then joined the Air Force, and was honorably discharged in 1974. Mark moved from Kansas to Phoenix, Ariz. where his three children were born and raised. Years later he moved to Kahului on the island of Maui and joined the staff of Dorvin D. Leis Co. as Chief Estimator.
Mark will be remembered and loved by his children Trisha Ann Shaw, Tess Marie Shaw, and Marcus Anthony Shaw; his loving companion Karen Maruoka; his mother Barbara Crist; stepmother Shirley Shaw; sisters Rhonda Thomas (Bert), Valorie Shaw, Jackie Tate (Gary), and Tonja Turner Asher; brothers Steven Shaw (Debra), Robin Shaw (Shelley), Timothy Lane, Christopher Lasica, Tommy Shaw (Andrea), and Dave Lasica Jr. (Rosetta); uncles Estel (Laura) Turner, and Melvin (Iolene) Turner; also numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father Merle E. Shaw; his stepfather George Lane; stepfather Terry Crist; his paternal grandparents A.J.M. and Anna Shaw; maternal grandparents Lynn and Helen Turner; his uncle George Shaw; and his uncle and aunt Maynard and Donna Turner.
A graveside memorial service for Mark will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Larned Cemetery.
