Marlin J. Vonfeldt, 68, passed away Jan. 3, 2022, at Hays Medical Center. He was born on June 24, 1953, at Great Bend, to Ralph and Leona (Sander) Vonfeldt.
A lifetime Great Bend resident, Marlin was a machinist and welder for Ralph’s Rig Service. He was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, cooking, watching westerns and muscle cars.
Survivors include, a daughter Katie; two brothers, Wayne Vonfeldt of Duncan, Okla. and Jerry Vonfeldt of Newton; two sisters, Mary Allen and Cora Vonfeldt both of Great Bend; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Ralph Vonfeldt, Jr. and LaVern Vonfeldt; and an infant sister, Geraldine Vonfeldt.
Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 6, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home, with Vigil service and rosary at 7 p.m. Funeral Service will be held at 10 a.m., Friday, Jan. 7, 2022, at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church. Inurnment will be in the Golden Belt Memorial Park. Memorials have been designated to the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
