OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. — Martha Moore “Marty” Dickinson, 53, died March 7, at Clara Barton Hospital in Hoisington. Born Oct. 12, 1961, in Hoisington, she was the daughter of Robert, M.D. and Bernice (Mitchell) Moore. On Sept. 12, 1981, she married Michael Kent Dickinson in Hoisington. A resident of Oklahoma City, Okla. since 1990, coming from Augusta, she was a homemaker and an x-ray technologist.
Marty was a member of Quail Springs Baptist Church on Oklahoma City, Okla., and was a member of A.R.R.T. (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists).
Survivors include her husband, Michael Kent Dickinson, of the home; her mother, Bernice “Bee” Moore of Hoisington; one son, Michael Robert Dickinson of Oklahoma City, Okla.; a sister, Anne Martin, D.V.M., and husband John of Kenya; a brother-in-law, Mac Gibbs of Sugarland, Texas; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, Robert Moore, M.D.; and a sister, Maureen Gibbs.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday at the Concordia Lutheran Church in Hoisington with the Rev. Mark Lovett officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Wednesday, with the family receiving friends from 5 to 7 p.m., at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at Quail Springs Baptist Church, Oklahoma City, Okla., will be announced at a later date. Memorials are suggested to the Clara Barton Foundation to benefit the Dr. Robert Moore Scholarship Endowment Fund or the Golden Belt Humane Society, in care of the funeral home.
