HOISINGTON — Mary Michael Looman, 58, died unexpectedly on March 8, 2015 at her home.
Born Aug. 17, 1956, in Tulsa, Okla. she was the daughter of Floyd and Patricia (Brewster) Blevins. She was raised by her Grandma Dolly Butterfield. On Jan. 16, 1976, she was united in marriage to Gary V. Looman in Spokane, Wash. They began their family in Plentywood, Mont. Although their marriage ended, they remained close friends. Mary resided in many states but Hoisington was her home.
Mary attended College in Williston, N.D. where she earned her degree as an LPN. She worked in the health field helping and taking care of others. She was a loving and caring mother and grandmother. Her greatest joy was her sons — Shawn and Jeremy Sr. She loved spending time with family and friends. She was a generous women and would help others. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.
Survivors include, two sons, Shawn (Dawn) Looman, Grand Marsh, Wis.; and Jeremy (Sharee) Looman Sr., Hoisington; seven grandchildren, Christina Ostrander, Ashley Looman, Dylan Looman, Jeremy Looman Jr., Donavon Looman, Izaiah Looman, and Gabriel Looman and one great-grandchild, Blake Looman.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother (Mom), Dolly Butterfield; and Gary V. Looman.
Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Wednesday at the Roseberry’s Funeral Home in Friendship, Wis., with Pastor Dwight Condon officiating. Visitation was held until the time of service Wednesday at Roseberry’s Funeral Home.
