LIBERTY, Mo. — Maryanne Shutler, 81, passed on in peace on May 26, 2015, at Liberty Hospital in Liberty, Mo. She was a dedicated mother to her children and a very proud grandmother. Maryanne spent five years as a house mother at the Alpha Delta Pi sorority and two years as a house mother at the Alpha Gamma Rho fraternity, in Manhattan.
Maryanne was an active member in the International P.E.O. Sisterhood, Chapter AZ, in Lawrence, and a Certified Master Gardener.
Survivors include her four children, Susan Squires, Sally Shutler, Steve Shutler, Sara Watkins; and four grandchildren, Cate Squires, Kyle Watkins, A.G. Squires, and Alexa Shutler. She was preceded in death by her parents Dr. Guy E. and Bertha A. Finkle of McPherson; and her sister Arlene Mingenback of Great Bend.
The family will receive friends at the Memorial Service to be held at 3 p.m. on Wednesday, June 10, at Mount Moriah, Newcomer and Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Road in Kansas City, Mo.
