ELLINWOOD — Matthew D. Menges, 57, passed away peacefully at his home on Dec. 10, 2021 in Springfield, Mo. He was born the son of Gerry and Geraldine Menges on Nov. 10, 1964 in Ellinwood, Kan. Matthew loved his family and loved camping and fishing with them. His love for his motorcycle and playing pool were just a few to mention. He was a Jack of all trades. 

Survivors include his mother Geraldine Menges, Ellinwood, Kan.; daughter Anna (Rex) Hammer, Ellinwood, Kan.; brothers Mark (Tracy) Menges, Ellinwood, Kan., Mitch (Tara) Menges, Lyons, Kan.; sisters Mary (David) Tudor, Ellinwood, Kan., Millie Menges, Ellinwood, Kan., Margaret Ferguson, Kinsley, Kan., Melinda Adams, Leavenworth, Kan., Michelle (Donavon) Jones, of Wichita, Kan.; sister in law, Belinda Ketch; grandchildren Mario and Salena Leon, Keaston and Morgan Isern; as well as many nieces and nephews. Matthew was preceded in death by his father, Gerry Menges; brother Mike Menges; niece Monika Menges; nephew Jeremy Adams; and great niece, Meleah Menges. 

Funeral Service will be 10 a.m., Dec. 21, at Minnis Chapel followed by interment at Lakin Comanche Cemetery with Father Klein presiding. Visitation will be Dec. 20, at Minnis Chapel from 4-6 p.m. Memorials may be given to the family for funeral expenses or Shriners organization in care of Minnis Chapel, PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
