CLAFLIN — Maxine L. Riemann, 93, died April 12 at Woodhaven Care Center, Ellinwood.  Born March 25, 1922 at Ellinwood, she was the daughter of Carl H. and Alice Bell (Hoadley) Schmidt.
She married Willis H. Riemann Sept. 1, 1940 at Ellinwood.  He died Feb. 3, 1986 after 46 years of marriage, living in the Claflin community.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include her three sons: Jim Riemann and his wife Nancy of Wamego; Jerry Riemann and his wife JoAnn of Dighton; and Melvin Riemann of Belton, Mo.;
one daughter, Linda Siefkes and her husband Dennis of Hudson; one sister, Carol Scheufler of Ellinwood; and 10 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Schmidt, and two sisters, Edna Jenisch and Anita Holden.
Funeral service will be held Thursday, April 16 at 2 p.m. at Bryant Funeral Home officiated by Reverend George Redington.  Interment will be at Claflin Cemetery, Claflin.  Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Wednesday, April 15 and 9 a.m. to service time Thursday, April 16 at Bryant Funeral Home.  The family will receive friends from 12:30 to service time Thursday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions to Woodhaven Care Center Activity Fund or Meals on Wheels, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.  Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net
