Melissa (Callaway) Chandler 1968 - 2020

Melissa (Callaway) Chandler, went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus on December 21, 2020. Missy was born in Coldwater, Kansas, on November 25, 1968, to Ron and Linda Callaway. 

She was a graduate of Liberty University with a Master’s degree in Human Services, with a focus on marriage and family counseling. Missy was also working towards her Master’s degree in professional counseling with a focus on addiction treatment. She loved her job and the students she worked with at Ellinwood High School, where she was a Special Services Teacher Aide. 

Missy was an animal lover and took in any creature that she thought she could help. She nursed many back to health and gave them a loving home. Missy had a great capacity to love. She will be remembered for her quirky personality, her determination, her fun nature, and her love for the New England Patriots. Her passing leaves a great void in the hearts of her friends and family. She will be greatly missed. 

She is survived by her father, Ronald Callaway; her husband, David Chandler; her daughters, Michaela and Chrissy; her aunt, Tawnia; her sister, Marcy, and her cousin, Michael. She was preceded in death by her mother, Linda Callaway. 

There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials are designated to aid the family with expenses and are appreciated, in care of Bryant Funeral Home, 1425 Patton Rd., Great Bend, KS 67530.
