HUDSON — Merle Dean Teichmann, 83, died Oct. 27, 2016, at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born April 12, 1933, he was the son of Otto and Elsie Ukens Teichmann. He was a 1951 graduate of Hudson High School and was a lifetime farmer. On Sept. 26, 1954, he married Marilyn Walter at Hudson. She died on June 4, 2016. 
Mr. Teichmann was a member of Trinity Community Church in Hudson. 
Survivors include his children, Terri DeWerff and husband Wayne of Ellinwood, Lori Hurst and husband Aaron of Burrton, and Shawn Teichmann and wife Judy of Hutchinson; seven grandchildren, Seth DeWerff and fiancee Kaitlin Ptacek, Kristi DeWerff, Jessica and Luke Zongker, Caleb Hurst, Marissa Hurst, Casey Teichmann and Cody Teichmann; and a sister, Maxine Speck of Lenexa. He was preceded in death by his wife of 61 years, Marilyn Teichmann.
Memorial services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 5 at Trinity Community Church in Hudson. Private burial of the ashes will be at Trinity Cemetery in Hudson. Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Community Church in care of the funeral home.
