Michael Lee Jackson, 56, died Sept. 7 at his residence in Great Bend. He was born Dec. 19, 1953, at Los Angeles, Calif., the son of Mack Jackson, Sr. and Bruenetter Wrotten. He was a 1971 graduate of Al Reed High School in Dumas, Ark. He was a cook in many restaurants.
He is survived by a daughter, Danyel Jackson of Dallas, Texas; three grandchildren; his mother, Bruenetter Wrotten of Liberal; his father, Mack Jackson, Sr. of Elk Grove, Calif.; brothers, David Jackson of Jackson, Miss., William Jackson of Elk Grove, Calif., Dwayne Jackson of Pittsburg, Calif., Tracey Jackson of Oakland, Calif., Earnest L. Powell of Laredo, Texas, and Richard Earl Gray of Great Bend; sisters, Maxine Adams of Elk Grove, Calif., Ida Marie Eatmon, Barbara Ann Holman and Henrietta Gray, all of Liberal, and Shirley Jean Cooper of Rolla;
and a host of nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his brother Mack Jackson, Jr., and sister, Rosezetta Clay.
Graveside service will b eat 11 a.m. Monday at the Liberal Cemetery with the Rev. Frank Holman presiding. The casket will remain closed.
