HOISINGTON — Michelle Dunn-Heggemeier, 39, died Jan. 22 at her home in Hoisington. Born March 28, 1973, in Great Bend, she was the daughter of Jack T. and Janet Kay (Mullen) Dunn Jr. On Dec. 1, 1996 she married Danny Chapman in Great Bend. On Oct. 9, 2010, she married Justin Eugene Heggemeier in Great Bend. He died on Jan. 22, 2013. A longtime resident of Great Bend, she was a former manager for Burger King, general manager of the Flyover Cafe in Susank and was a Mary Kay salesperson. She enjoyed raising an assortment of pets and farm animals.
Survivors include her father, Jack T. Dunn Jr. and his wife JoAnn, of Great Bend; a son, William Cody Dunn of Hoisington; two daughters, Tabitha Dunn of Sterling and Crystal Chapman, of the home; two brothers, Jack T. Dunn III of Eudora and Michael Dunn and wife Cathy of Sanford, N.C.; half brother Bradley Wayne Thompson of Colby; and a stepbrother, Dusty Davis, stationed in Germany with the U.S. Army. She was preceded in death by her mother, Janet Kay Dunn on March 25, 1981; and her grandparents Edward and Helen Mullen and Bill and Bessie Chism.
Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. on Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home with Pastor Don Paden officiating. Burial will be at the Great Bend Cemetery. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., with family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., Friday at the funeral home.
