BUSHTON — Mike Roelfs, 70, died July 2, 2013 in Salina.
Born Feb. 26, 1943 in Lyons, he was the son of Chester Delmer and Edythe Elizabeth Komarek Roelfs. He was a graduate of Bushton High School and spartan School of Aeronautics in Tulsa, Okla. A resident of Bushton, he was a welder and fabricator for Hoelscher Inc. of Bushton. He was also a bush pilot, mechanic, crop duster and gold miner.
Mr. Roelfs was a veteran of the United States Air Force, serving during the Vietnam War.
Survivors include three brothers, Charles Roelfs and wife Beverly, Bushton; Tim Roelfs, Lyons; and Delmer Roelfs, Spring Valley, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Private family services will be held at a later date.
