TOPEKA — Milford L. Zimmerman, 69, of Topeka, died Oct. 12 at the Eventide Convalescent Center, Topeka. He was born Oct. 29, 1940, at La Crosse, the son of Frank and Virginia A. (Greenway) Zimmerman. He was a resident of Topeka for more than 10 years, moving from Salina. He was a 1962 graduate of Hays High School, Hays. He was retired from the United States Army.
Mr. Zimmerman was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Salina, and an Army veteran.
Survivors include two brothers, John R. Zimmerman and his wife, Phyllis, of Gatesville, Texas, and Frank W. Zimmerman and his wife, Carol, of Junction City; two sisters, Sheryl R. Ellis and her husband, Kenneth Ellis, of Larned, and Jana J. Freed and her husband Kenneth Freed, of Otis. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Graveside services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the La Crosse City Cemetery, La Crosse, with the Rev. David Bolz officiating. Memorials may be made to Eventide Convalescent Center, Topeka, or to the charity or organization of the donor’s choice.
