Minetta M. Carothers 1929-2012

KINSLEY — Minetta M. Carothers, 83, died June 16 at Medicalodge in Kinsley. Born May 29, 1929 ,in Spearville, she was the daughter of William E. and Minnie E. Diehl Berry. On June 22, 1947, she married Lee E. Carothers in Offerle. He died on Jan. 15, 2011. She was employed as a district secretary.
Mrs. Carothers was a member of the Kinsley United Methodist Church.
Survivors include a son, Jerry of Kinsley; four daughters, Leaetta Tomlinson of Great Bend, Dana Polson of Garden City, Moureen Hirsh of Kinsley and Brenda Ryan of Burdett; nine grandchildren; and 15 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Thursday at the Kinsley United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dennis Kuder officiating. Burial will be at the Hillside Cemetery in Kinsley. Friends may visit from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday at McKillip Memorial Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Edwards County Healthcare Foundation in care of the funeral home.
