AUGUSTA, Ga. — Ms. Navin Gayle Fraser, 96, entered into rest on Wednesday, Sept. 27, 2017. Ms. Fraser was born in 1921 in Pawnee Rock. She worked as a secretary at Georgia Pacific in Augusta, Ga.
She was a member of Covenant Presbyterian Church where she prepared the elements for communion for the congregation. Ms. Fraser loved to crochet, knit, work in the yard with her garden, and staying physically active by walking and doing yoga.
Ms. Fraser is preceded in death by her husband, Wallace Winn Fraser III; parents, August and Matilda “Tillie” Unruh; siblings, Elva Jantz, Flossie Butts, Garnet Unruh, Dean Unruh, Oran Unruh and Ora Unruh; and good friend and neighbor, Eric Fleishner. Survivors include numerous nieces and nephews; neighbors, Ruby Smith (George), The Stan Family, and Rick Hillard.
The family will receive friends from 4-6 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 30, at Elliott Sons Funeral Home on Lumpkin Road. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 1, 2017, at Covenant Presbyterian Church, 3131 Walton Way, Augusta, GA 30909.
