Naomi Janell (Jan) Williams died on March 9. Born on June 9, 1926, in Hayworth, Okla., she was the daughter of William McKinley “Bill” Whala and Lessie Whala. In 1943 she graduated from Ellinwood High School. She retired from Civil Service at Tinker Air Force Base.
Ms. Williams was a member of Wilmont Place Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla.
Survivors include two daughters, Toni Lynette Belcher of Ocala, Fla., and Kay Annette Weldon of Norman, Okla.; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; one brother Jesse Therston Whala of Denver, Colo.; one sister Wilda Lahree Merten of Great Bend; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; and one sister, Ruth Oleene Reiser.
Funeral services were held on March 13 at Wilmont Place Baptist Church in Oklahoma City, Okla. Interment was at Memorial Park Cemetery, in Oklahoma City, Okla.
