Nelson Lee Warren 1927 - 2016

ROZEL — Nelson Lee Warren, 88, passed away May 2, 2016, at Pawnee Valley Community Hospital in Larned. Born May 9, 1927, in Pryor, Okla., he was the son of Samuel and Maude Warren. On June 15, 1952, he married Donna M. Thompson in Great Bend. She survives. A longtime area resident of Larned, he was a night foreman/machinist welder at Justice Supply Machine Shop in Farmington, N.M.
Mr. Warren was a United States Veteran. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Great Bend.
Survivors include three daughters, Mauna Arla Schott of Albuquerque, N.M., Shala Ann Bush of Roswell, N.M., and Doreen Elana Hull of Kingman, Ariz.; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Pauline Myers; two more sisters; and nine brothers.
Cremation has taken place. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, 916 Main in Larned, with Mike Bush presiding.
