Neva Faye Wagner 1939 - 2013


AMARILLO, Texas — Neva Faye Wagner, 73, died June 27, 2013.
Born Dec. 17, 1939, in Modesto, Calif., she was the daughter of Vernon and Crestell Reese. She moved at an early age to Delhi, Okla., and then moved to Amarillo in 1957. She graduated from Palo Duro High School in 1958. She married Don Wagner on Aug. 27, 1960 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She and her husband owned Holiday Service at Interstate 40 in Texas for 38 years.
Mrs. Wagner was very active in her church home and enjoyed traveling, casinos, reading and being surrounded by family and friends.
Survivors include her husband, Donald Wagner; five children, Kevin Wagner and wife Kathleen, Wichita Falls, Texas; Kimberly Barrera and husband Steve, Amarillo, Texas; Pamela Jordan and husband James, Great Bend; and twins, MSgt. Jody Wagner USMC and wife Michelle, Jacksonville, N.C., and Judy Cormier and husband Chris, McKinney, Texas; her brother, Robert Reese and wife Millie, Mesa, Ariz.; 15 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her sister, Verna Wilkerson and husband Nolan of West, Texas.
A vigil was held at 6 p.m. Wednesday in Schooler Funeral Home Brentwood Chapel in Texas. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 2 p.m. Friday in St. Mary’s Catholic Cathedral with Monsignor Harold Waldow officiating. Interment will be in Llano Cemetery.
