Noemi R. “Mimi” Sanchez, 59, passed away on Friday evening at Hutchinson Regional Medical Center. Born on June 22, 1954 in McAllen, Texas, she was the daughter of Pedro and Teresa (Rosales) Ramos. On March 8, 1980, she was united in marriage to Israel “Lalo” Sanchez in McAllen, Texas. The couple came to Great Bend in October of 1986. Noemi enjoyed cooking and playing Bingo, and especially loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her husband, Israel “Lalo” Sanchez of Great Bend; one son, Francisco “Frank” Sanchez of Great Bend; one daughter, Monica Ybeth and her husband, Victor Manuel Galvez, of Great Bend; three grandchildren, Jessica Yvette Galvez, Victor Alejandro “Alex” Galvez, and Victor Manuel “Trey” Galvez Jr.; two brothers, Arcadio Ramos of Rosenburg, Texas and Moises Ramos of Mission, Texas; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Graveside services will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Great Bend City Cemetery North, with Father Ted Stoecklein officiating.  Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. today, with a Vigil Service being held at 7 p.m., at Charter Funerals in Great Bend.
