ELLINWOOD — Oliver Bryant Jr., 86, died March 15 at the Ellinwood District Hospital. Born Jan. 23, 1925, in rural Ellinwood, he was the son of Oliver Ray Bryant and Rosa W. Burchart Bryant. He graduated from Ellinwood High School. On Sept. 2, 1949, he married Patricia Joelene Cossman in Larned. A lifetime resident of rural Ellinwood, he was a retired farmer.

Mr. Bryant was a member of the Immanuel United Church of Christ, the Heritage Club and Eagles Lodge, all of Ellinwood.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Darwin Bryant of Ellinwood; a daughter, Sandra Bryant of Ponca City, Okla.; two grandsons and three great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at the church, with the Rev. Larry Young officiating. Burial will be at the Lakin-Commanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. Friends may call from 1-8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to the church or the donors choice.
