Oma Lee Sharp, 84, passed away July 25, 2021, at her home in Great Bend. She was born March 12, 1937, in Pawnee county, Okla. to Elmer & Myrtle (Broughton) Heilmann. She married LeRoy Sharp in 1981, at Great Bend. He died August 7, 2005.
Oma was a route driver for Sunflower Diversified Services until she retired. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witness. She enjoyed flower gardening and especially loved her canine friend, Sandy.
Survivors include, her sons, Scott Wilkinson (Maxine) and John Wilkinson all of Great Bend, Richard Wilkinson (Ruth) of Garden City, and Mike Williams (Amanda) of Hutchinson; her daughters, Teresa Hannaford of Emporia, and Kim Mendez (Juan) of Great Bend; 12 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her stepfather, Glenn Taylor; her husband, LeRoy Sharp; a son, Steven Wilkinson; a daughter, Diane Ramos; two brothers, Floyd Heilmann and Raymond Heilmann; and a sister, Lela Stillabower.
Visitation will be held from Noon to 9:00 p.m., Wednesday, July 28, 2021 at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Thursday, July 29, 2021, at Bryant Funeral Home, with Michael Espinosa presiding. Interment will be in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Memorials have been designated to Oma Sharp Memorial Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
