LARNED — Opal Agnes Weaver, 104, passed away Dec. 28, 2017, at Country Living of Larned, Larned, Kansas.
She was born Sept. 21, 1913, in Vale, Arkansas, the daughter of Earnest Franklin and Alice Maggie Belle Jane Couch Butler. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the United Church of Christ, Great Bend. She was a 4-H sewing and cooking leader for many years while her six children went through 4-H.
On June 30, 1937 she married Lilburn P. Weaver in Claflin. He passed away on May 10, 1989.
Survivors include three daughters, Donna Campbell, Larned, Oleta (Keith) Beckwith, Great Bend, and Carolyn (Terry) Holland, Baton Rouge, La.; son, A. Gene (Karen) Weaver, Wichita; sister, Jewell Schlicht, Lenexa; two sons-in-law, Max Manor, Wamego, and Gary Pillard, Marysville; 15 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by two daughters, Vicki Pillard and JaNelda Manor; one grandson, Scott Manor; one great-grandson, Justin Huff; one great-great-granddaughter, Aiden Manor, and two sons-in-law, David Skelton and Marvin Campbell.
Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at Beckwith Mortuary Chapel, Larned, with the Rev. Bethann Black presiding. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Monday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Tuesday with family present from 5-7 p.m. Tuesday at Beckwith Mortuary. Burial will be at 2:30 p.m. Wednesday at Claflin Cemetery, Claflin.
