ELLINWOOD — Pamela Sue Reser, 57, died March 25 at Via Christi St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Born March 5, 1955, in Stafford, she was the daughter of Jerome Otto Werner and Peggy Josephine Smiley Werner. In 1971 she graduated from Campus High School in Haysville. A resident of Ellinwood since 1990, she was employed for the past 18 years by American Family Insurance in Ellinwood as an Office Manager.
Ms. Reser served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1976 to 1985. She was a member of the American Legion in Ellinwood.
Survivors include a son, Christopher Stromski of Salina; two daughters, Shannon Lewis of Seattle, Wash., and Susan Reser of Great Bend; two brothers, Gregory A. Werner of Ellinwood and Robert M. Werner of Oklahoma; three sisters, Patricia L. Werner, Paula J. Murry and Pauline M. Holton, all of Haysville; and three grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a brother, Michael; and her parents.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday at the First Baptist Church in Ellinwood with Pastor Dave Wesner officiating. Friends may visit from 6-8 p.m. Thursday with a vigil service at 7 p.m., both at Kimple Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Ellinwood Ministerial Alliance for Community Needs.
