STERLING — Patricia M. “Pat” Laudermilk, 85, died Oct. 15, 2013 at Sterling Presbyterian Manor.
Born Dec. 16, 1927 in Hutchinson, she was the daughter of Edward H. and Maxine Taylor Allen.
She graduated from Chase High School and attended Sterling College. On Feb. 27, 1948, she married Bernard “Tiny” Laudermilk in Hutchinson. He died on Dec. 25, 1982. A resident of Sterling since 1949, she was a homemaker, mother and artist.
Mrs. Laudermilk was a member of the United Methodist Church in Sterling, the American Legion Auxiliary, Rice County Arts Council, Founding Board Member of Studio 96, served on the Rice County Election Board, was a longtime Girl Scout Leader, Main Street Sterling Committee Member, and Beta Sigma Phi Advisor.
Survivors include two sons, Terry and Debbie Laudermilk, Wichita; and Jeff Laudermilk, Sterling; a daughter, Michelle “Miki” West and Gene Zaid, Sterling; eight grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a brother. Edward Michael Allen.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Monday at the United Methodist Church in Sterling with the Rev. Marvin Ewertt and the Rev. Glenn Chambers officiating. Burial will be at the Sterling Community Cemetery.  Visitation will be from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday, with family present from 4 to 6 p.m., at Birzer Funeral Home in Sterling.
Memorials are suggested to Studio 96, Sterling Presbyterian Manor or Sterling College Art Department, in care of the funeral home.
