Peggy Elaine Christiansen, 74, passed away on February 1, 2023, at Prairie Sunset Home in Pretty Prairie, Kan. She was born on August 6, 1948, in Great Bend, Kan., to George and Mary Ruby (Cunningham) Callaway. On June 19, 1965, she married Larry Christiansen in Ellinwood, Kan.

A resident of Hudson since 1966, Peggy worked in social service admissions at Woodhaven in Ellinwood and Leisure Homestead in St. John. She was a member of Peace Church, Calvary Baptist, Mt. Pleasant Ladies Aid, Great Bend Saddle Club, St. John Parents Tiger Club, and Stafford County Extension Council. Peggy was a community leader for Jolly Worker 4-H Club of Hudson and South Bend Jolly Worker 4-H Club of Great Bend.

Survivors include her husband; daughter, Dawn (Jay) Brack of Hutchinson, Kan.; two sons, Curtis (Tami) Christiansen of Wichita, Kan., and George Allen “G.A” (Aimee) Christiansen of Great Bend, Kan.; five grandchildren, Jayce, Gage, Jaxon, Bradyn, and Courtney Christiansen; and three step-grandchildren, Kodie McFarren, Cooper and Kadie Bailey. She was preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Chandler Christiansen; sister, Mary Lee Barry; and half-brother, Allen Callaway.

Visitation will take place from Noon to 8:00 p.m. Friday, February 3, 2023, with family receiving guests from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home. Funeral Service will take place at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 11, 2023, at Peace Church in Hudson, Kan., with Pastor Tonya Andrews. Interment will follow at Peace Church Cemetery. Memorials have been designated to Peace Church of Christ, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
