Susank – Pennie L. Adams, 59, passed away April 22 at St. Francis Hospital in Wichita. Pennie was born on Feb. 25, 1955 to William (Bill) R. Coine and Carol M. Coine of Chase.
Pennie is survived by her companion of over 35 years, Johnny Adams, who was by her side comforting and supporting her. Pennie was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. Pennie and Johnny had six children together, Eric Adams of Seward; Johnny L. Adams Jr. of Phoenix Ariz.; Waldo Adams of Great Bend; Robert L. Adams of Hays; Nadena (Adams) Forrester of Great Bend. Pennie was a proud and loving grandmother of 13 wonderful grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her daughter Deanna (Adams) Bridges. Surviving siblings are Caroline (Coine) Franklin of Texas; Randy J. Coine of California; and Todd Coine of Great Bend, and she was preceded in death by Billy Coine of New Mexico.
Services will be held at 3 p.m. on May 10 at the First Church of God, 1224 Baker Ave, Great Bend, with the Rev. Dick Ogle presiding.
