HOISINGTON — Phil DeMoss, 64, died Feb. 23, 2015, at Clara Barton Hospital.
He was born Sept. 23, 1950, in Nowata, Okla., the son of Russell Charles and Opal Clata (Tate) DeMoss.
Phil graduated from Decatuer High School, Decatuer, Ark. in 1969. He was a resident of Hoisington since the early 1970s, working as a mechanic in the oilfields.
He is survived by his brother, Vernon DeMoss of Hoisington; a sister, Susie Hansuld and husband Chuck, Kansas City, Mo.; a close friend, Mike Ney; and numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Ancil DeMoss; and three sisters, Gwendolyn Loreg, Beverly Price, and Betty DeMoss.
Cremation has taken place and a private family service will be held at a later date in Nowata Cemetery, Nowata Oklahoma. Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in care of Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, PO Box 146, Hoisington, KS, 67544.
