HOISINGTON — Phillip D. Chapman, 70, died Nov. 28 at Promise Regional Medical Center, Hutchinson. He was born Dec. 17, 1939, at Crescent, Okla., the son of Oras Virgil and Cecil (Tabler) Chapman. He was a resident of Hoisington for 65 years, moving from Crescent, Okla.

Mr. Chapman was a member of First Christian Church. He assisted in serving Friendship Meals for many years.

There are no immediate survivors. His parents and two brothers, Kenneth and Virgil Chapman, preceded him in death.

Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. today at Nicholson-Ricke Funeral Home, Hoisington, with the Rev. Donald Fisher officiating. Burial will be at the Hoisington Cemetery. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. until service time today at the funeral home. Memorials are suggested to Friendship Meals, in care of the funeral home.
