WICHITA — Pierre “Perry” Reed DeYoe, 83, died Jan. 26 at Lake Point Nursing Home in Wichita. Born April 29, 1929 in Wichita, he was the son of Garland and Thelma (Harrison) DeYoe. On June 5, 1949 he married Evelyn Gasswint in Wellington. He was a Parts Manager for Several Different Trucking Companies in Kansas.
Mr. DeYoe was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church in Pratt, where he was a Deacon in the church.
Survivors include his wife Evelyn DeYoe of Wichita; a sister Edith Diffendal of Toronto; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by a daughter Linda DeYoe; and a brother, Richard Wayne DeYoe.
Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday at Sumner Memorial Gardens in Wellington with Pastor John Bliss officiating. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday at Larrison Mortuary, 300 Country Club Rd. in Pratt. Memorials may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society in care of the mortuary.
