LARNED — Ralph R. Wickstrom, 87, passed away Jan. 1, 2016, at Great Bend Health and Rehabilitation, Great Bend. He was born June 24, 1928, in Larned, the son of John and Lena Jantz Wickstrom. On Oct. 22, 1966, he married Verda Lea Thomas Mauney in Wichita. She passed away Dec. 8, 2006. He moved to rural Pawnee Rock in 1966 where he was a farmer.
He was a member of the United Methodist Church, Otis and attended The First Southern Baptist Church, Great Bend.
Survivors include a son, Mike Mauney, Pawnee Rock; four daughters, Janet Warren, Larned, Patti Cox, Wichita, and Linda Haynes and Carla Adams, both of Larned; 20 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild and a special friend Audrey Fry, Great Bend. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Leonore Rucker.
Funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 5, at Beckwith Mortuary, Larned, with the Rev. Janice Farrell presiding. Visitation will be from 1-8 p.m. Sunday and 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday at the mortuary. Burial will be in the Larned Cemetery.
