HOISINGTON — Randall Lugene “Randy” Ritter, 62, died Aug. 13, 2015, at his mother’s home in Great Bend. Born June 6, 1953, in Hoisington, he was the son of Gene and Barbara (Drake) Ritter. A long-time resident of Hoisington, also residing in Yates Center and Salina, he was an engineer for the Missouri-Pacific and Union Pacific Railroad. He was a guitar and airplane enthusiast.
Survivors include his mother, Barbara Ritter, of Great Bend; one son, Scott Ritter of Belmont, N.C.; one daughter, Tisha Armatys and her husband Mike of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; a stepson, Aaron Warrick and his wife Natalie of Larned; two brothers, Ben Ritter and his wife Charlene of Sparks, Nev., and Bob Ritter and his wife Lori of Paola; two grandchildren, Peyton Armatys and Dylan Armatys; companion: Jan Smith of Salina; and uncle, Keith Ritter and his wife Becky of Hoisington. He was preceded in death by his father, Lugene Ritter; and one brother, Doug Ritter.
A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday at the First Christian Church in Great Bend with the Rev. Joshua Leu officiating. A private family inurnment will be held at the Hoisington Cemetery. There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place.
