Renee Anne Schneweis, 64, passed away January 21, 2021, at her home in Great Bend. She was born September 12, 1956, at Smoky Hill Air Force Base, Saline County, to James Keith & Rita Janet (Strobel) Romine.
Renee had been a long-time resident of Great Bend, previously living at Ft. Bragg, N.C. Her past working career has included employment at Gibson’s Discount Center and in the housekeeping departments at Best Western Black Angus Inn and Central Kansas Medical Center. Renee was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Patrick Catholic Church and enjoyed crocheting, embroidery and knitting.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Schneweis, of the home; mother, Rita Romine of Great Bend; two brothers, Kent Romine and wife Valerie of Great Bend and Kevin Romine and wife Tammy of Great Bend; one sister, Marita Walls and husband Dan of Elkhart; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father, James Romine.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, January 27, 2021, at St. Patrick Catholic Church, Great Bend, with Father Don Bedore presiding. Interment will follow at Buffalo Township Cemetery, Barton County. Visitation will be 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., Tuesday, January 26, at Bryant Funeral Home with a Vigil and Rosary at 7 p.m. Masks and social distancing are required. Memorials may be given to Prince of Peace Parish, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
