Richard A. “Dick” Dunlap, 82, died Sept. 30 at Hays Medical Center, Hays. He was born Jan. 13, 1932 at Blackwell, Okla. the son of Irven Franklin and Thelma Ilene (Yager) Dunlap.
He married Ramona Meddles April 11, 1954 at Hastings, Neb.  He was an industrial mechanic for Bell Engine and PamCo, owned and operated 3-D Lumber and worked at Waters True Value. Mr. Dunlap was a Great Bend resident since 1961, coming from McCook, Neb.He was a United States Marine Corps veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict.  He was a member of First Assembly of God, Great Bend.
Survivors include his wife: Ramona Dunlap, of the home; one son: Matthew Dunlap and his wife Cheryl of Wylie, Texas; two daughters: Roxana Hale and her husband Bob of Roanoke, Texas, and Christine Shipman and her husband Earnie of Fort Worth, Texas; one daughter-in-law: Susan Dunlap of Indianapolis, Ind.; 11 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by one son, Kevin Dunlap; two brothers, Vern Franklin Dunlap and Kenneth Wayne Dunlap, and one granddaughter, Jessica Dunlap.
The funeral service is 2 p.m., Saturday at First Assembly of God in Great Bend with Pastor Dwight Dozier officiating. Interment will be at Great Bend Cemetery North, Great Bend with military rites by the United States Marine Corps Honor Guard. Visitation is from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m., Saturday at Bryant Funeral Home. Memorials are suggested to the Wounded Warrior Project, in care of Bryant Funeral Home. Condolences may be sent and notice viewed at www.bryantfh.net.
