PRATT — Richard “Dick” Joseph Tatro, 83, passed away Friday, March 2, 2018 at Hilltop Manor in Cunningham. He was born Nov. 22, 1934 in Zenda, Kansas to Lewis E. and Mary Ethel (Mercer) Tatro. On Oct. 7, 1953 he married Viola Pauline (Cosby) Tatro in Pratt. She preceded him in death on Oct. 13, 1980.
Dick worked as a pulling unit operator for Chase Well Service and then later retired from Pratt Well Service. He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous.
He is survived by his sons, Brad (Tami) Tatro of Pratt, Bill (T.J) Tatro of Chase and Bryant (Sheryl) Tatro of Bradenton, Fla.; son in-law, Jerry Griffin of Tecumseh, Okla.; brother, Frank Tatro of Topeka; sisters, Reatha Clark of Pratt and Louise Gould of Stafford; seven grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and five great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pauline; parents; daughter, Tresha Griffin; brothers, Ed Tatro, Bill Tatro and Clem Tatro; three grandchildren; and one great grandchild.
Cremation has taken place. Graveside memorial service will be held at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date to be announced. Memorials may be made to the Hilltop Manor in care of Larrison Mortuary. Condolences may be left at www.larrisonmortuary.com.
