GREAT BEND — Richard F. Pope passed away on Feb. 1. Born Nov. 4, 1934, he was the son of Lyman and Cora (Spicer) Pope. He was a resident of Great Bend, formerly of Newark Valley, N.Y. On June 23, 1956, he married Joan D. Robinson. She survives.

Other survivors include three daughters: Cathy (Stuart) Yetter of Newark Valley, N.Y., Lori (Colin) Hammeke of Great Bend, and Vicki (Charles) Spina of Larned; six grandchildren, Aaron (Becky) Hammeke, Daniel (Sally) Spina, Ryan (Megan) Hammeke, Jessica Spina, Abigail Hammeke, and Elizabeth Yetter; and three great-grandchildren, Ethan, Beth, and Emma. He was preceded in death by his parents, and by granddaughter Lisa Joleen Hammeke.

Funeral Services will be held at a later date in Newark Valley, N.Y. MacPherson Funeral Home of Newark Valley, NY is in charge of the services.
