TOPEKA — Richard Kirby Petersilie, 46, died June 25, 2012 at the Rush County Memorial Hospital in La Crosse. Born March 12, 1966 in Ness City, he was the son of Ory Petersilie and Mickie Malone. He attended Otis-Bison High School in Otis. A resident of Topeka for more than 25 years he was employed by Emerson Construction of Topeka and was working on a project in La Crosse. He was formerly a mechanic for Topeka Travel Plaza for many years.
Survivors include his father, Ory Petersilie, Otis; his mother, Mickie Malone, Topeka; three sisters, Suzanne Randa, LaCrosse, Angela Petersilie, Sparta, Mo. and Le Ann Petersilie, Otis; one niece; three nephews; and one great-nephew.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Sheila Petersilie; and his grandparents Gordon and Dorothy Ostrom, C.W. and Pearl Petersilie, and Paul Kultgen.
A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the Janousek Funeral Home in La Crosse. Memorials are suggested to Janousek Funeral Home in La Crosse to assist with funeral expenses.
