GREAT BEND — Richard Thier, 75, died March 4, 2014 at Great Bend Regional Hospital.
Born May 14, 1938 in McGregor, Iowa, he was the son of Armin L. and Marguerite (Knapp) Thier. On April 5, 1959, he married Carol Cutcomb in Scottsbluff, Neb. A resident of Great Bend since 1965, coming from Kansas City, Mo., he was employed as a Technical Rep at Xerox Corporation.
Survivors include  his wife, Carol Thier, of the home; three sons, Stephen Thier and wife Karen, Plano, Texas; Gregory Thier and wife Jane and Michael Thier and wife Marisa, both of Great Bend; six grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Jean Stillwell.
