Rick Dwain Pierce, 66, passed away on Dec. 21, 2021 at KU Med Center, Kansas City, Kan. He was born on Nov. 11, 1955 at Branson, Mo. to William Dwain and Louise (Lemuz) Pierce. He was married to Melaine Feemster on April 22, 2017. She survives. Rick was previously married to Cindy and Heidi.
Coming from San Diego, Calif., Rick was a resident of Great Bend, Kan. since 2007. He worked for Marmie Motors as a salesman. Rick was a member of the Eagles and Elks. He was a talented painter.
Survivors include his wife of the home; two sons, Zach Pierce of Columbus, Ohio and Zane Pierce of Great Bend, Kan.; three bonus children, Destanie McKay, Jada VanderMeer, Peter VanderMeer; his mother; one sister: Cindy Montorsi of San Diego, Calif.; one brother, Brian Pierce of San Diego, Calif.; and one granddaughter, Aubrey Rose McKay. He was preceded in death by his father; one brother, Troy Pierce; one sister, Debbie Pierce.
There will be no visitation as cremation has taken place. Funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Jan. 14, 2022 at Bryant Funeral Home with Reverend Dick Ogle presiding. Internment will follow at Great Bend Cemetery North. Memorials can be made to the Rick Pierce Memorial Fund, in care of Bryant Funeral Home.
