Robert (Bob) Dimitt 1962 - 2018

Robert (Bob) Dimitt went to be with the Lord on Oct. 12, 2018, at the Hospice House in Lyons, Kan.

Robert Eugene Dimitt was born Aug. 5, 1962 in Kingston, New York to Donald Gene Dimitt Sr. and Nina (Samms) Dimitt. He resided in Chase, Kan. since 1988. For the past nine years he was a resident of Rosewood Services of Great Bend. Bob was always full of jokes and pranks, always smiling even on his worse days. He had a big heart and was a “tough bird” as he would say.

Bob enjoyed fishing, games, country music, and crossword puzzles. He was a loyal fan of the Kansas City Royals and Kansas City Chiefs.

He is survived by three sisters, T.J. (Bill) Tatro and Bonnie Babcock, all of Chase; Donna Denio, Preston; two brothers Bruce (Opal) Dimitt, Chase, and Donald (Lisa) Dimitt Jr., Lyons; and girlfriend, Lindsey, Great Bend.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Steve Dimitt; sister, Vicki Weed; four nephews; and one niece.

Cremation has taken place with a memorial service to be set at a later date.

In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Cancer Foundation or to the family in care of Birzer Funeral Home, Lyons, Kan.
