BILLINGS, Okla. — Robert Edward Guertin, 72, died Feb. 13, 2017, at his home. Born Aug. 4, 1944, in Southbridge, Mass., he was the son of Robert P. and Cecilia B. Guertin. He lived in Great Bend for many years and worked as a jailer at the Great Bend Sheriff Department. He was loved by many in the community. Robert enjoyed all kinds of racing and laughter with family and friends.
A veteran of the U.S. Air Force, Robert Guertin served from 1962-1966, receiving an honorable discharge.
Survivors include two sons, Michael Guertin and Robert Funk, both of Galatia; and three daughters, Chris Marshall of Wellington, Kristy Bieberle of El Dorado, and Carolyn Brasher of Hunter, Okla.
There will be a get-together to celebrate his life from 10 a.m. to noon on Saturday, Feb. 25, in Billings, Okla. There will also be one on March 4 in Great Bend for all of his family and friends, with details for to come at a later time.
