Robert L. "Bob" Bader, 78, died Jan. 4 in his home at Great Bend. He was born June 7, 1932, in Osborne County, the son of Fredrick Robert and Addie Mae (Clemans) Bader. He married Joan Habiger Sept. 1, 1955, at Hoisington. He was a commercial salesman for Becker Tire and Treading, Great Bend, for 50 years. He was a Great Bend resident since 1959, coming from Osborne.

Mr. Bader was a member of Prince of Peace Parish at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, Great Bend, and a charter member of Knights of Columbus at St. Aloysius, Osborne.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a son, Michael Bader and wife Laura of Great Bend; two daughters, Debora Bader of Pawnee Rock, and Diann Henderson and husband Ken of Great Bend; and four grandchildren, Sarah Bader, Fredrick Bader, John Henderson and Kelli Henderson.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church in Great Bend, with Father Peter Fernandez, celebrant. Interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Great Bend. Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday, with the family receiving friends from 7-8 p.m., at Bryant Funeral Home in Great Bend. Memorials are suggested to GBRC Foundation/Playground Project or Masses at St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church, in care of the funeral home.
