ELLINWOOD — Rodney Herman Daubert, 69, passed away at Ellinwood District Hospital on June 26th, 2018. Born on Nov. 19th, 1948 in Great Bend, Kan., he was the son of Herman and Wanda Daubert (Riemann). Rodney was a lifetime Ellinwood area resident formerly of Great Bend. Mr. Daubert served his country in the United States Navy from 1967-1971. He married Marsha Baldwin on Dec. 31st, 1971 in Great Bend.
He was a lifetime member of the VFW who loved spending time with family and in the great outdoors. Mr. Daubert also worked for Superior Essex for 16 years.
Survivors include wife, Marsha Daubert; daughter, Rachael (Shaun) Schloemer; son, Phillip and (Lisa) Daubert; sisters, Peggy (Donnie) Scott, Theresa Ruth, Carra Perry, and Cheryl Bliss; brother, Randy Daubert; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Rodney was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Jack Daubert and Brian Daubert.
Funeral service will be Friday, June 29, 10:30 a.m. at Minnis Chapel in Ellinwood with Rev. Thomas Thierfelder presiding. Burial will follow at Lakin-Comanche Cemetery in Ellinwood. Visitation will be Thursday, June 28, from 1-6 p.m. with family present from 5-6 p.m. also at Minnis Chapel. In lieu of flowers memorials are suggested to the American Heart Association in care of Minnis Chapel, 113 North Main Street/PO Box 246, Ellinwood, KS 67526.
